Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a happy holiday weekend. I am truly blessed in my life. I am thankful for everyone in my life. I had a very nice Thanksgiving it was just the my parents and my brother and his wife and my niece. I started off my day by trying something that I had never done before, I volunteered at the civic center. It was really nice to be able to experience that, then it was home for a big dinner. It was amazing my mom always fixes so much food, it is like she is feeding an army lol, there is only six of us but the good thing about it is all of the left overs that I get to take home with me. I had a really good time with my niece also it was really fun to be able to see her and spend some time with her. It has been along time since I have been able to do that I was working a lot of overtime during the summer and then I started college and I really didn't have any time after that. I enjoyed it so much and I was able to fix her bike which was fun. We all sat down that evening and watched Terry Fader if anyone knows who that is, and we watched "pumpkin chunkin" on T.V. After that it was home time for me I volunteered to come into work on Friday which is today, I just really could not pass up the money lol it was so boring though there was only like 11 people in the plant it was so boring but I really can't complain the money was very good and the day was easy. I just can't wait for the game Ohio State vs Michigan! Any ways I hope you all had a wonder holiday weekend!

10 min in class #14
Jake and Ashely were two kids that really made a good couple, but they could not stop fighting over this one small thing that eventually broke them apart. Now it was up to Jakes parents to bring them back together. These two were meant to be together. Ashely wanted to have get a cat but Jake was more of a dog person, that was the only thing they could not agree on. It may seem small but after awhile of arguing there were some mean things said. After they went there separate ways Jakes parents new they would be lost without each other. They decided to sit Jake down and play some funny but cute videos of cats playing around. His parents also told him that if they would happen to get a cat and dog at the same time they would grow up together and be friends. After sitting down and watching the videos Jake decided that it really wasn't that big of a deal and they should have never been fighting over something so dumb. After Jakes parents were done with him they decided to go see Ashley and do the same thing for her but with dogs. They met later that night Jake was holding a kitten and Ashley a puppy. They never fought again.

10 min writing remix
After watching the videos on remixing I found myself thinking, I always new that music had remixes. I just would have never thought that it went back so far. I feel that people should be allowed to use little pieces of other peoples music or beats to reproduce a remix without penalty. It is not like they are copying the whole song, they are only taking a few seconds from it. The copy right laws are kind of crazy in my opinion. People just need to step back and think is it really worth all the law suits and media just for a few seconds of a song. I think the people are just getting jealous because the music that their beat is being added into actually sounds pretty good and they are mad they did not think of it first. That is just my opinion though, I mean I can see both sides but I would really have to side with copyleft. Do not get me wrong I don't believe in downloading free music and such I think you should have to pay for things like that but for the copyright side of it I disagree with the laws.

10 min writing speed art.
After watching the the videos in class I did find myself relating their work with what we are doing in a way. They probably had to spend countless hours researching the picture they were going do and research, what foods to use in that artwork. Not just any food would work, they would have to research the picture and then find what food and what canvas would make for the best combination. Take the deer for example, you would not have wanted to use the cheeto's and the black velvet like the artist did for Elvis instead to give it the more realistic look the artist used BBQ sauce, giving the deer more of a natural color. I did find all of the videos interesting, that is cool how someone can do that and make it look so good. I would have never thought of using food like that to make art, it was really cool. If those people can take the time and effort to research what foods will work for their art I feel that doing a little research on my major should come as no problem. So yes I was inspired in some way after watching the videos, those artist put a lot of time and research into their art, and I am doing research to get a good grade and a better job so yes I feel if they can take all that effort and time so can I.

What a nice weekend
This was such a nice weekend, the weather was so nice. One of my friends had a all guys baby shower which went really well. We played some crazy games, like eating baby food and trying to guess what flavor it was. Then someone melted different kinds of candy bars in diapers making it look like poo. We had to try and guess what kind of candy bar it was. It turned out to be really fun, plus the beer was pretty good as well lol. I was able to just sit back this weekend and relax, but this coming week will be pretty busy for me. I do get to look forward to a nice 4 day weekend next week though which will be so awesome I can not wait to get to spend sometime with the family and eat some delicious food and of course play Assassins Creed III, which is really awesome. The graphics are so realistic it crazy, there is only one thing that don't like and that is the one map where things look futuristic I have always been a fan of AC because they took some much time and put so much detail in the realistic surroundings making it so real for that era. Now they mixed it up by making it somewhat real and futuristic at the same time, that is the only thing though besides that the game is amazing.

Detective:
I arrived on scene at 11:33am, I walked up to the crime scene to see that a male approximately in his mid to late twenties had what looks to have been murdered. I started my investigation and noticed that there were some thing in the scene that just did not add up. The victim still had all of his belongings so I c ruled out robbery, but what I did notice is the ring he had around his right wrist, almost as if he had been handcuffed to something. After further investigation I discovered that the man was an ex mob boss from Boston. Now the question was why was he here in this little town and how did he end up dead in a parking garage.
Coroner:
After arriving on scene I found a white male approximently 25 years of age lying face up on the secound floor of the downtown parking garage. The victim had multiple stab wounds and heavy bruising around his right wrist. Also bruising on the face possible struggle, from what I have found the victim was killed at at 6:35am.
Attorney:
Ladies and gentlemen what we have here is a case of cold blooded murder. We have found that this ex mob boss was murdered by one of his opposing mobs grunts. He was trying to hand off all of the information that he had on this other mob to the new boss. We have all of the evidence to back this case.

One night on my way home from work I noticed something crossing the road in front of me. I did not really get a good look at it but I seen that it was walking upright like a human. It must have been someone walking down the maybe a hunter or something it was about time for the sun to come up and deer season was in. I kind of just brushed it off and went about the rest of my day. The next night I saw the same thing in the exact same spot as the night before. This time I slowed down and tried to turn my headlights to were it would shine into the field were it had walked. Just as I started to turn the car I heard a very loud howl and my car started shaking, I tried looking around to see what it was but I could never get a good look. I decided it was time to get out of there, as I went to speed off I looked up and saw a very large hairy creature standing in front of the car just staring at me with huge green eyes. I was terrified and accidentally hit the gas and hit the huge creature. It let out a howl as I sped away. I finally arrived home I rushed inside and locked all the doors and turned on all of the lights. I was trying to wrap my mind around what I had just saw. I remembered watching a special on television on Bigfoot, could I just have seen this creature? Just as I was starting to settle down I heard the gut wrenching howl coming from my backyard. I was to scared to look outside, I just sat in the middle of my house hoping it would just go away. Then my house began to shake as if something was scratching its back on one of the corners, like a bear. Maybe that is all it was, just a bear. I decided to take a look and make sure I went to the window facing the backyard and peered out, before I had a chance to see anything I found myself staring what seemed like a very hairy human face, right in the eyes. It was a Bigfoot not a bear after all I was so petrified that I just froze we both just starred at each other. I started to notice the creature looked sad, I just hit it with my car I would have been sad too. I did not want this thing to kill me so I did the only thing I could, I told it that I didn't know if it could understand me but that I was very sorry for hitting it with my car and that it had just startled me. The creature looked at me awhile longer and blinked it's big green eye's it nodded it's head and turned and walked away. I never saw the creature or Bigfoot again.

10 min writing santa,witch,easter bunny
I was walking by the local museum last night and I saw tiny little pastel colored eggs going up the steps. I was curious so I walked up to the door and I seen that the glass on the door had been broken. I walked in not knowing what I would find, as I walked through the different sections I heard a faint noise coming from the from the back of the museum. I crept to the back of the building, I opened the door and saw a man in a bright red suit standing there, he almost looked like Santa Clause but that couldn't be I thought to myself. As I walked quietly up behind the man I heard a scary laugh come out of nowhere, it startled me and I let out a little scream. The man in the bright red suit heard it and quickly turned around to see who it was. When I saw the mans rosy red cheeks and long white beard I knew it was him the the one and only Saint Nick. I could not believe my eyes, then without warning a lady came out from behind a stack of boxes holding a broom and wearing all black with a pointed hat. I thought to myself "am I dreaming!" This could not be, a witch and Santa together! Why would this be happening? I began to ask them what they were doing there and why of all people would they leave little eggs going up the steps? Santa began to explain they had to break into the museum because his nephew had came to the north pole to visit and stole the naughty and nice book, with the intention to bring it back and sell it. However no one believed him so he ended up selling it to the museum so they could put it in there new section "The Origins of American Holidays" when I finally found out where he had taken it, I knew it would be to risky to bring the reindeer with me. I decided to ask my close friend and coworker to fly me down on her broom and keep watch as I searched for my book. What about the eggs then? Oh yeah I almost forgot. Just as Santa said that I heard the sound of hopping behind me. I turned to see a big rabbit standing there looking at me, I knew I had to be dreaming now. I said there is no way all of this is real I have to be dreaming. Then Santa walked up and pinched me, I was not asleep. So why is the Easter Bunny hear I asked? Santa said well we needed some on to watch my nephew and watch where he took my book, and since it is Almost Easter, who would better for the job. He could blend in and hide well nobody would ever know. Did you find it yet? I asked, Yes we just have to move a few more boxes and it will be back in good hands. So I decided I was going to help, after we dug through the boxes and found the naughty and nice book. The three of them each gave me a present for not telling anybody it was the most amazing present ever they each let me tag along with them during their holiday. They also let me come to the north pole and see where all of them stay when it is not there season. It was the most wonderful night of my life, I will never forget it.

Wow I so need a break/vacation. I can not wait for finals week to just be here and over with. I need that 3 weeks off, I also get 11 days off of work for Christmas shut down. I am pretty sure that I am not going to leave my couch, my girlfriend is coming to stay with me and we are just going to sit around and play Call of Duty all day. I might have to take a break every now and then to play Assassins Creed which is going to be awesome. It comes out tomorrow, and I can't wait.I really need this break I am pretty sure I have almost had two nervous breakdowns this semester which is not fun at all. This has been a learning experience so far I now know that work a 40hr a week job that has overtime and taking 13 credit hours just doesn't seem to be that easy lol. I am taking it easy the rest of the way no more cramming classes and stressing myself out that much it is really not worth it. I know that in the end will be happy no matter how long it takes. I am just thankful to be getting a college education. I will finish it is just going to take a little longer. Good luck to everyone in their pursuit of happiness.

Math class
So we are at the point for our second exam and I am feeling a little better about this one. I know I have to study still but things are getting easier. This exam is over unit analysis and algerbric expressions. I have to go over my unit conversions again and practice some of the harder problems that we have on our practice exam. The onlt thing that I am afraid of is the story problems which can be some what tricky for me. I understand how to do the problems it is just pulling everything out of the story and putting it in the right place for the equation, that is where it always gets me. So I think over this weekend I will be studying for awhile. I really have to try to get a really good grade on this exam to make up for the quiz that I missed a couple of weeks ago. So if anyone has any tricks for an easier way to solve story problems like the ones in math 0833 the help would be great, it is nice to hear how other people do things everybody doesa things a little different and I feel the way the teacher does it is some what confusing. Thank You.

Career
I started my new job on tuesday. As I talked about in an earlier post I got a promotion at work and I am a set-up now. Instead of running the machines at work I work on them now fixing quality issues and doing prodution changeovers and trouble shooting machine problems. So far I love it, I have done this kind of job before at a different place and really enjoyed it then also. I can actually come home now and be in a good mood instead of being mad and stressed out. Don't get me wrong they both have there pros and cons but I feel that with being a set-up there will be a lot more pros than cons. I like trouble shooting things and trying to fix them and make them better. The biggest thing right now is being overwhelmed with school so after next semester is over I am going to slow down and only take one or two classes a semester but I'm going to go all year round instead of taking the summers off, to make up for what I wasn't able to take during the regular school year. As of right now the schooling is getting in the way with everything and it is beginning to become a real hassle but I will finish this year out. My grades are starting to show that I'm getting burnt out already and that's not good. I just feel so tired all the time and it's affecting my life and my career all around, but I will finish school and become what I set out to be.

If I was the man, I would just say to my Previous girlfriend that things change and that people change. Once you find the right girl things seem to change and your life seems a little more complete allowing other things to happen in life. I know that I once told you I wasn't the marrying type, I have changed since we were together it just takes finding the right girl. I feel different about every thing now I feel as if I have grown up and that my life seems fuller since I have met my wife. Back then I really didn't see myself settling down and getting married and having kids or anything but once you meet the one your life changes a lot and things just happen. I am sorry things didn't work out between us but you to will find the right person and life a long and happy life. Life just plays out in funny ways sometimes but everything happens for a reason.

misc.
So I know earlier we had to write about how we felt about all of the campaign adds and how we reacted to them. I stated that I never really even payed attention. I was on my way to Toledo yesterday and the was an add on one of the big billboards saying that, we build it he broke we will rebuild it saying that Obama should be fired. Usually I wouldn't take sides or anything but that kind of made me upset. Is really everyone that caught up in all this that they think all of the things that are happening are because of one person. This has been going on for a very long time it's just now that we are seeing the effects of everything that was put into place along time ago. It's not all just because of one person, I feel really if it wasn't for him we would have actually be in much worse shape. I feel the president has done well with what he got handed. That's just like people now days it seems aways pointing the finger and never wanting to look in the mirror. At some point everyone is going to have to wake up and see that for things to get better they might have to sacrifice some things for the good of our country. Okay well I better stop there I could go on for pages about all of this but I will just leave it with that. It's not all his fault.

Reading Lantry's article was not to bad. He went into a lot of detail explaining each article and how the pictures or visual aids tied in with the text. It seemed like he also did a lot of research before just writing about the 3 articles, allowing him to be able to go into so much detail about how each article was put together for each era. He had so many supporting details that you really didn't even have to have the visuals though from him explaining it it almost gave you that pic in your head. i started to see where he was going with the article after reading about the second one. How advertising has changed towards women it still has a main base. No matter how much time went by the pictures or the age group may have changed but the main point never has. It is almost as if advertising is kind of brain washing us all in a since, because to this day well still see the same articles just different people and different dialogue but the same base principles. Also with this article he explained his visuals which is the opposite of our papers we will have just one picture that will pretty much summarize our paper.

RR#5
That was actually a good reading. I really never knew or payed attention to the cover of magazines. After reading this article I look back and notice that there are a lot of numbers on the covers of magazines. I also can look back and see myself actually picking a magazine up because of the same thing that was said in the article. I have been pulled in by the use of numbers. I agree that people are busier now days than they have been for so long everybody just rushes around so when it comes to selling something you really have to put something out there that is going to catch the peoples eye and make them stop for a second and buy what ever it is that is being sold and by using numbers people seem to think of a list and list's are fast, not some boring 2 page article about what is hot this fall but a quick and easy list. So people can read on the run. The article it self was very informative and I liked the use of the picture of Men's Health giving you a visual of what she was talking about. She also used a lot of quotes from interviews which was kind of nice to hear it from so many different angles but putting it all together in a whole. She just kind of skimmed the surface with the interviews never really digging deep. I just felt by doing this she made it more approachable for any audience.

Circuits
Well we had our first exam today. I had found out last week that it was going to be an open book and open notes so over the weekend I never really put much thought into studying for it. Wow was I stupid, I have never been so lost on a test like I was today, even though we could use our notes and books. Some of the questions were kind of simple and I knew them right away. I figured out how to convert from binary to octal then to decimal, to hex it was pretty easy once you get the hang of it. On the other hand the simplificaton is really hard and I have no Idea what is going on with that, there are 12 rules you have to remember and all kinds of different steps. It is so hard for me I really feel as if they should have put me in these classes after I had like physics and some other avanced math other than pre-algebra. Hopefully I did well enough to keep a good grade there was a 25 point bonus on the back so maybe I got that right and it will bring my grade up. I just can't wait for this class to be over with, come on December lol.

Well it was a good weekend for me, even though I had to work Saturday. I was able to get off in time to watch the end of the Buckeyes game which was really close. I don't even know how we let them score so many points at some point you have to get on your defense and say enough is enough Indiana really isn't that hard of a team. I was starting to get scared towards the end with that turn over when the guy through it back onto the field and they went right down and scored. That game was a little to close for me I can only imagine whats going to happen once we go up against the bigger Big Ten schools. I was also amazed that my Cleveland Browns finally found a rhythm and one there first game in 11 straight losses. We had some big plays and we also let some big plays happen against us, but all in all we won and that's all that matters hopefully we can keep it up for the rest of the year especially when we play the Steelers. Also when I wasn't watching football I was able to get caught up on some of this blog stuff and finish my essay which has been a big relief. Hope you all had a good weekend as well.

Career
I am already getting to the point to where I am not sure where I want to take my career. I still know that I want to major in Manufacturing Engineering, but I don't know how I want to apply it in the real world. I want to help peoples lives and make it to where factory jobs aren't so hard. This has been a passion of mine for a long time, the only thing is how do I apply my education to my job and come together with an out come that helps people. The Engineers where I work at currently don't really help people they just make things work. I understand that there is a money staand point that has to be taken into consideration but at some point you have to stop and look around at your employees how are they having to change just to suit the machine that should not happen the machine are what need to change. The moral of your employees is what gets you money if you have happy employees you are most likely making money. I just need to decide which way is best for doing this. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to comment. Thanks

Kelsea was woken up one night by a noise in her bed room where her and her little sister slept. She opened her eyes to see a man standing by her sisters bed wearing a bright white t-shirt. The man also had sparkling blue wings, by the time she relized what she had seen and was fully awake he had disapeared . Kelsea fell back to sleep and when she woke in the morning she thought it was all just a dream. She walked down stairs to her her little sister tell her parents that her tooth that she had put under her pillow was gone and that there was a dollar under it in place of the tooth. Kelsea started to think about was she had seen when she was woken up. She thought to her self did I just see the tooth fairy ? After breakfast she and her sister went out side to play, Kelsea being very interested in what she had seen, she asked her sister if she had any more loose teeth ? She replied "Yeah but only one and it is my last one!" Kelsea asked her to tell her when it was out. In the mean time Kelsea was researching information on the tooth fairy and seeing if you could catch him. She found out that he really liked tacos for some reason and that if you caught him by his wing he would not be able to fly away. She had it all planned out When her sisters last tooth fell out she was going to wait for her sister to fall asleep and put a taco on the night stand beside her bed while she hid in the closet giving her just enough time to sneak up behind the tooth fairy and catch him. It was only a week later when Kelseas sister told her tooth had fell out, later that night the plan was set her sister was asleep and the taco was in place, she heard a noise of a taco shell crunching she peeked out the closet door to she the same bright white t-shirt and blue wings, she snuck up behind him and very quietly pinched his wing. The tooth fairy froze in shock knowing that he had been caught. He turned around and saw kelsea standing there, He asked "What do you want?" Kelsea had never really thought about what she would do after catching him. She replied "Um I'm not really sure, how do you fly so fast ? and how many teeth do you collect in a night?" The tooth fairy replied "Well my dear let me show you." She grabbed her and told her to hang on. The rest of the night kelsea flew around with the tooth fairy collecting children's teeth from all over the world from the United States to Japan, and even Scotland. He returned her home early the next morning. She told him that she had never had so much fun and that she was sorry for scarring him. Kelsea now know how the tooth fairy gets around so fast and collects all the teeth Magic.

I took yesterday off of work to get caught up on all of my homework in all of my classes. I felt like I made a lot of progress. Until I came in to my com. class today and found out how far I was behind in my blogs. I really have no one to blame but myself I just putting it off, thinking that I had until the end of the semester to finish it and in the beginning that was a good amount of time. Now that we only have like 6 weeks left I am pretty far behind and it is a little nerve racking to say the least. I really need to get good grades this first year so that I can get some scholarships for next year. I am really going to have to buckle down and really focus on getting all of these things done. I guess this first semester went by a little faster than I reliezed. I did get most of my math homework caught up and my digital circuits which was just typing a lab. But my com. class is were I feel I am really lacking and I thought I was doing good. I guess it is time to really pull out all the stops and get things done.

So my first time in Tennessee was pretty fun. I had to work the first night I got down there form 8pm to 7am but luckily for me it started raining around 3am and since the sort was outside we had to call it an early night which was nice because I had already been up since 8am that morning so I was pretty tired. I went back to the hotel and was able to get some sleep. I woke up around 10am and decided to go down town and see what that was like, my hotel was only 15minutes away from downtown. I really had no idea where I was going but it all worked out I was driving on 40 I think it would have helped if my navigation was working, but I saw the Titans stadium and just got off at that exit and sure enough I was right there so I found a place to park and started walking and I found Broadway street. That is where pretty much everything is, I went into the Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville which was pretty cool I only made it down to Broadway and 4th which now that I know Broadway and 2nd is where a lot more stuff is like the Grand Ole Opry and the country music hall of fame. The only real thing I didn't care for was there were a lot of people standing around preaching and saying we were all sinners and that we needed to be saved, I didn't really care for that, It's cool for people to pass out flyer's and stuff but don't get in my face and say I'm going to hell. Not cool and I really wish my girlfriend would have been there with me it just wasn't the same going into all the bars or going and sitting down someplace nice to eat without her. So we have already decided to go back hopefully over the summer. It was a good experience though no matter what you have to make the best of everything.
Misc.
I don't know how long it has been for some of you since you have last flew some where, it has been 17 years or so for me. It was an experience to say the least. I was in a rush to get to the airport anyways and I was flying out of Detroit, which is a pretty decent sized airport I think. I had never been in an airport by myself at all so this was all new to me I parked my car in the airport parking and got on the shuttle, when we finally got to the drop off point he was saying something about where to go and to tell you the truth I only heard part of it so I went up the escalator to the ticket part and I was lost for a few minutes I could not figure out how to get my ticket. My company had already payed for it I just had to pick it up so I finally found someone to ask and I felt pretty dumb, all I had to do is slide my debit card in the machine and it got all my information from that. After wasting that 20 minutes it was on to security. Things have really changed and of course I didn't follow the directions and forgot to take my inhaler out of my carry on bag so I got picked for additional random screening which wasn't that bad. The lady I had going through all my stuff was pretty cool she was making joking around with me about not flying for so long. After it was all said an done it was pretty cool to fly again at first I was a little nervous just seeing a few days earlier on the news a plane that the landing gear were turned when it was coming in for the landing and all of a sudden they corrected them selves. It was beautiful coming in to Tennessee seeing all of the hills and lakes. I will definitely fly more now.
Career
So this Friday was pretty exciting for me, the company I work for called me while I was in class so I couldn't answer but they left a message. I got out of class and seen that it was my supervisor that had called so I called him back before listening to the voice mail I had no idea the reason he had called. So he answered and began to ask me if I could fly down to Nashville, TN for the weekend to supervise some people down there. At first I didn't know what to say but I said yes of course, it's not to many time I get the chance to fly down to another state and have everything payed for. I feel it was a big step for me in my career for them to put that much trust in me to pay to fly down and supervise a sort at one of our biggest buyers. I feel truly blessed and humbled to be in this situation. I hope there is more to come.

This year is for me just like any other since I have been able to vote. We always end up with two very rich people that spend millions of dollars on trying to dig up nasty things on the other to get an upper hand. This year has been a little worse from what I have seen, with both candidates going all out on one another. I have never really followed or reacted to any of the media whether it be the television or any thing else. I believe that both sides have good and bad qualities, so you are pretty much picking the lesser pick of the two evils. I know i should care and be more involved but it is hard for me to care. Even when we do pick a somewhat decent person congress just steps in and votes against all of the bills, so whats the point. The presidential election really does not matter to me. We just need to do a complete overhaul on our government as a whole I believe. Hopefully at some point everyone will come together and make America what it used to be.
Digital circuits
So just when I was starting to understand everything, we have to go and start a new chapter. I was feeling really good about this class now that we have started chapter 4, I am right back to feeling over whelmed and to top it all off we will be having and exam in a couple weeks. Some of the stuff in the chapter is easy but when it comes down to simplifying I just get lost and can't figure it out. I just don't understand where they get some of the answers. I can do some of the smaller one by doing the different laws and combining like terms, but I just need to figure out a simpler way for me to understand it. Doing the hands on parts like the labs I feel very confident but when it comes to the book work I'm a little lost. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free.

Digital circuits
So I am sitting in my digital class writing this blog because there is nothing else to do. My lab partner and I have already completed our 3rd lab and just waiting for others to finish. This particular lab was my favorite so far. We got to build a circuit that decodes the binary code and displays the decimal for that code on a seven segment display. For those who don't know what that is, it is a display like a calculator would show there are seven segments and it can be used to count from 0 to 9. It was cool once we got it to work and was able to observe how circuits decode binary. Which for me is pretty awesome, never knew how things actually worked when it came to computers and cell phones but I am definitely getting a better understanding on it all now and by the end of the semester I hope to know a whole lot more. I was overwhelmed at the beginning of the semester but things have slowed down and I am finally getting a grip on all this stuff, so it turns out I am beginning to like this class for now.
10 min writing How I Met Your Mother
I have recently just started watching the series on net flix. I really enjoy it, I am only on season 2 so i was not sure about wanting to watch it in class and take a chance of something getting spoiled. I like the series so far the characters are fun to watch and work well together. The episodes always have a good main story line. This episode was just as funny as the rest that i have seen so far. The story in this particular episode was about the three guys Ted, Barney and Marshal always would meet and see if they were in where they thought they would be in three years. It just so happens that you can plan life all you want but life is full of curve balls. The guys found that out. They were never where they had planned. You can plan your life how ever you want and sometimes things work out the way that you had planned and sometimes life has a different path but that is okay because things always seem to work out in the end. Just like in the episode things never seemed to go as planned but they were still happy with where they were. The characters work well together and seem to bring a common ground to us all everyone can relate to one of the characters in some way. Making the show easy to watch and relate to.

The costumes or attire the characters wore fit the era in which they were in at the time. They were some what typical of your every day fairy tale. The men wore leather and the women wore dresses telling you weather they were good or bad. snow white wearing the white dress and the evil queen obviously wearing black giving you the since of good vs evil. Then they flipped back to reality and the costumes took a more up to date look with the evil queen in a more modern black suit and White in a off white leather coat. while prince charming took on the more rugged look with jeans and a carhart jacket. While the costumes fit the time so did the props used through out, they looked realistic, so no floppy swords in this fairy tale. There was a part in which a gun was used after flipping back to reality in which was a little off key but did bring a laugh. The one thing that stood out as cheesy was the computer animation but it was not that bad for a TV series, it's not like it's a million dollar movie with the top of the line animation.

RR #4
Scott's essay was a little hard to under stand for me. He used some pretty big words, feels like not just anyone could just sit down, read it and understand it all. He also casts a lot of judgment but he has the evidence to back it. I feel though as if he just put his own personal opinion in, and just told us how he did not like the film compared to the other James Bond films. He how ever did have some good key features he talks about how the title ties in with the film and he talks about the opening song and how well it fit. He does a good job of comparing it to the other films building that common ground because the Bonds films have been around for so long, that most people have seen at least one of the films. He explains how the story behind Bond has been changing throughout the last few movies starting with Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. How ever I did notice that some what throughout the essay and at the end especially Scott started using "I" a lot, making it seem like he was just giving his own opinion and not an all around unbiased review.

The hall the was silent until she heard the sound of the bell ring throughout the halls. It was the final bell of her last day of high school. The halls filled with students running and screaming in joy. It was finally summer again. As the halls filled, all she could think about is what college she was going to attend the following fall. It had been a very hard decision thus far. She had been accepted to two of the main schools she had picked. So she felt like there was no time for fun and games like everyone else. She had the biggest desertion to make over the next month. She had been thinking about it ever since she received the letters of acceptance. For her the summer was going to be the beginning of her new life. Either way she was going to one of the schools and both were top ranked and gave a lot of opportunities to join clubs and make life long connections. The only thing that stood in her way was the tuition which was not cheap with either choice. She had been doing her research on both, Her first choice did not really offer any kind of scholarships or student funding, on the other hand her second choice would pretty much pay her way. So in the end the choice was simple.

RR #3 "Juno"
After reading Ali Heinekamp's, evaluation on the movie Juno, I felt as if she had maybe said to much and gave a good portion of the movie away. She did how ever give good descriptions and good plots on the movie. I have also watched Juno. Ali did well by not being taking either side. She went on to say how the characters spoke in a non realistic dialogue, and that the movie never really hit on some of the realistic parts of a teen pregnancy like "mood swings and morning sickness" She stood with both sides never ranting or raving really about the whole film. She also talks about the good parts of the film like Juno showing her vulnerability and that making people feel that connection. And I like how she quoted to reviews at the end that were going in different directions on how they portrayed the film. My overall thought is that it was a very good evaluation of the film, but I still think that Ali may have given away a few bigger and important scenes possibly letting people picture to much of the movie, or that could just be the way I see it since I have already seen the film and being able to put it all together.
EET 1330
Last Thursday was probably the most fun I have ever had in my digital circuits class. I made a counter on my breadboard. It is for our third lab. So cool we used 11 resistors all together, a 7447 counter, a seven segment display, four LED's and a lot of jumper wires. After hooking up everything as i saw it in the book, I encountered that it was not counting as it should so I kept playing with it, at first I thought it was because we didn't use a dip switch, we didn't use one because our instructor told us not to. So after a little trouble shooting I noticed that the LED's were lighting up but nothing was reading on the seven segment display. So I either had a bad display or something wired wrong. I pretty much ruled out the bad display seeings how I could have definitely wired it wrong, and I did. I had a power supply going to the led and counter but no power going to display. I grabbed a couple more power and ground wires and hooked up the VCC going into the display. Bingo it was working it was cool to watch it. As i flipped certain switches it would put out the decimal form of the binary code it counted 1-9. I was happy to see I could make something like that and get to watch it work. Best class thus far.
Exam
I got my exam back today, not as good as i thought i would do, but better than i would have done in high school. I got a B. I was hoping to get an A. I made some really dumb mistakes, you know the one where you get your paper back and you see the red scribbles all over your parer, and you think how did i miss that. I had a lot of those. It wasn't to bad because if you show your work she gives you some credit. I still wish i would have went back through and did all the problems over again. I only went back over the ones that i thought might be wrong. I got it back and wanted to kick my own ass. Stupid mistakes like not putting in a negative sign and stupid stuff. Things I should have know, things i should have just slowed down and read through the problem again and would have seen them. I know now for the next exam to just slow down, read all the way trough the problem and double check all the problems and triple check the ones I think could be wrong. I guess that is what college is about to live and learn.

I am pretty excited about doing this movie review thing. I was wonering what we were going to do next. I was hopeing when she was talking about movies that we would do something on a movie.I have always been a huge movie buff, it is cool that i was able to get American Reuion, I have watched all the other american pie movies. I have enjoyed them all. I think they were a big hit for 90's kids lol. I am going to take no sides when i watch this even though I like all the movies, thus far. It will be a little hard at first, but I am sure I can do it. It will be a good challenge for me. I know we were not supposed to pick movies that we liked but I couldn't resist. I haven't seen it yet so, I am pumped to watch it and see how it turns out, plus I get to write a review on it which should be fun. I am not to sure about the whole 3-4 pages thing, but I hope I can make it work. Happy movie watching to all.

So i have an exam coming up in my math class, not to sure about it. It is supposedly all fractions which, I really dislike. I'm in pre-algebra, so its not to hard. It is sort of a nice refresher from high school. I have been out of school for a long time. So starting off with this class is probably a good thing for me. I never really enjoyed math in high school either just never cared about all the different theory's and so forth, plus it was a little confusing. So I pretty much squeaked my way by, thinking when am I ever going to use this later in life. Man I was wrong. I have actually used a lot of what I learned in the real world. Now that I am going back to school, I wish i would have tried a little harder and payed more attention. Now that I am going into engineering I have to use a ton of math, and its not easy. I know that staying focused and working my tail off, hopefully I will come out of this with a nice degree.

Digital Circuits #2
In my digital circuits class we are just finishing our first lab. We had to buy a breadboard, which is a little circuit board that you can plug different things into it like LED's,timers, compasitors, resisters and so on. You hook a power supply and a ground up to it and configure different simulations. It was hard at first but by the end i had alot better understanding of the lab. I got my LED to flash that was pretty neat. It is fun using the scope to watch the wave forms from the LED. From that we have to get our results. We had to find the period which is one whole wave from either the leading edge of the form to the next leading edge. We also had to find the duty cycle and frequency which are hard for me for some reason. After talking to a few guys from my class and one of our maintenance guys at work I am finally starting to figure out how to find the frequency. The only thing about the lab that i do not like is having to write everything down. We have to have a title page, we also have to do a pre-lab and a results and conclusion. All together it will be about three pages long. It seems like a lot just for a lab but i guess we have to do it so the teacher can see how we came to our conclusions and if we made any mistakes they would be easier to find and fix.

career #1
I got the job that i bid on at work today. What i means by bid is we have internal job postings with in the plant i work in. Some are promotional and some are like shift transfers and zone transfers. I put a bid in for a promotional job a few weeks back, it was for a setup position. A setup does things like change over assembly lines for different parts, clean molds for our rubber curing machines, and trouble shoot and fix basic problems like adjusting sensors, rebuilding dies it is really alot of work but it is going to be so worth it in the end. I have done this kind of work in the past I was a lead technician at a little factory in Ada, it was really fun we did all aluminum work there so it is a little different working with rubber. There is more quality issues when it comes to rubber alot of it you can't even seen so rubber will be a little more challenging. I really wanted this job, i enjoy working on and fixing machines a lot. Plus i think it will give me so much hands on experience to help with my degree. So that when i graduate I will already have some experience. Pretty exciting day for me.

Narrative
So i am kind of getting a little scared about the whole thing. I feel I am not going to do very well. We all of these readings we have been doing to help guide us to a perfect narrative. I still can not really get it down yet. I wrote my rough draft on Saturday and I read over it. I know it needs some major fixes. I just feel like writing is not one of my strong suites. Even though I kind of enjoy it. I feel it may be something I do in my spare time, not for a class. I guess i just put to much pressure on myself and i think it should be perfect. I should just lighten up and go with it but it is hard. If anyone has any suggetions they would be weclcomed greatly. Thanks

not my usaul saturday
So i used to try to get out of working on the weekends so I could go out with my friends and have a good time. Especially during football season I hated working on the weekends. So now I am trying to get out of working the weekends just so I can get caught up on my homework. Which I don't mind just because it is better than working, but I am still missing all my football games and I am not enjoying it!The end result is what I'm in it for anyways so hopefully the next 4 years fly by so I can have my saturdays back, and if all goes as planned I will not have to work any weekends.

In class writing #2
My high lighter is very bright green in color. Its smooth round plastic case holds the green liquid. It really has no smell. I can not describe what it tastes like since I have never tried. If i was to guess i would imagine it not tasting very good kind of like celery i guess.I do not like celery it just has such a bitter taste to me. When you use it on certain paper it makes a weird noise, kind of like a squeaking sound. Not as bad as for say a chalk board and chalk, but softer. I can use my high lighter in various ways, to mark something in a book that I am reading or to mark off something that i have done. I like it because it is transparent when put on paper allowing you to see what is being high lighted. So if I am reading something and come across a topic of interest i would be able to mark it. Then come back to it and be able to find it very easily without searching a lot. I find my high lighter very useful and I hope others do as well.

In class writing 1
I am a little affraid of writing. As this class has been progressing I am feeling better about it. I feel that the writing and especially the readings we have been doing are a huge help. They are really on key to helping people with their fears. My biggest fear is all of the punctations and being able to use words in the right way. I feel more and more confident every time I write. To be creative in my narrative I will make sure to describe the places and people I talk about, not just tell the story but let you almost live it. Since I have read the "Field Guide " I feel more comfortable in about being able to do so. Looking back I really do not know why or where I lost my creativeness. Slowly I am gaining it back.

Nemats
That was a very good story. I have just finished Nemats “
Secondhand Bookseller”. You could really feel the passion in her words. She was
very detailed when describing the secondhand book store. You could tell that it
played a huge part in her life. She made you paint the scene in your head. It
is amazing how just from one story you can learn so much about a person. Who
they are, what they like and dislike, you could go on forever. It is always
nice to learn things and to be able to look into someone else’s life through
there words. She could have told that
story many different ways and the out come to the readers would have been
different. Maybe she would not have went into so much detail describing the
book store and how she traded her pencil box with the magnetic latch and
scented eraser for money to buy the sequel to her book. We would have never got
that picture in our heads. I feel that was a very well told story.

I just got out of my Digital Circuits class a little bit ago. My instructor is kind of hard to follow some times. There are instances, were i think since it is so easy for him that he thinks we should all know it already or learn it very quickly. He also moves very quickly and can get kind of scattered when explaining something. For me it is a class were i have to keep doing the problems over and over again to get a good grasp on it. Once i have done the problems a few times its not as hard and I am getting the hang of it. For instance we are getting ready to start chapter 3 and today i finally got one of the problems i had been working on in chapter one. He said he was going to slow down, we shall see.
Today though was not to bad, we got to use a computer program called "multisim" Which is a program where you can design electrical circuits. It was kind of frustrating at first not being able to get my circuit complete. After a few second looks I found what I had messed up. There is just so many things you can do so there is a lot of places to mess up. Once I finished and everything was working, we had to use some tools on it to get a visual read out of the input and output waves. We used a "Oscilloscope" or scope for short. I bet i tried 15 different ways of hooking it up and mine did not look anything like what it was supposed to. So i asked my instructor and he was able to help I would have never tried changing the voltage. So now I know, always look for more than the obvious.

Hi, I'm Harold
I am going to school for Manufacturing Engineering. I also work full-time at DTR Ind. in Bluffton. I haven't worked in a factory as long as some people, but i feel i have worked in one long enough to know I want to be the person that can make their lives better by helping to engineering more efficient and ergonomically correct machines. To less-in the work load and bodies of the machine operators. I really enjoy learning everything I can to help me be able to succeed at this, even the the difficult parts. I am taking a digital circuits class this semester and I feel it is going to be one of my hardest classes. I never knew what the binary code was let alone what is was used for or in. It is very complex and confusing to me right now but for some reason I'm still intrigued and really wanting to learn it. I,m very excited to see what lie's ahead.
