RR#5
That was actually a good reading. I really never knew or payed attention to the cover of magazines. After reading this article I look back and notice that there are a lot of numbers on the covers of magazines. I also can look back and see myself actually picking a magazine up because of the same thing that was said in the article. I have been pulled in by the use of numbers. I agree that people are busier now days than they have been for so long everybody just rushes around so when it comes to selling something you really have to put something out there that is going to catch the peoples eye and make them stop for a second and buy what ever it is that is being sold and by using numbers people seem to think of a list and list's are fast, not some boring 2 page article about what is hot this fall but a quick and easy list. So people can read on the run. The article it self was very informative and I liked the use of the picture of Men's Health giving you a visual of what she was talking about. She also used a lot of quotes from interviews which was kind of nice to hear it from so many different angles but putting it all together in a whole. She just kind of skimmed the surface with the interviews never really digging deep. I just felt by doing this she made it more approachable for any audience.
