This year is for me just like any other since I have been able to vote. We always end up with two very rich people that spend millions of dollars on trying to dig up nasty things on the other to get an upper hand. This year has been a little worse from what I have seen, with both candidates going all out on one another. I have never really followed or reacted to any of the media whether it be the television or any thing else. I believe that both sides have good and bad qualities, so you are pretty much picking the lesser pick of the two evils. I know i should care and be more involved but it is hard for me to care. Even when we do pick a somewhat decent person congress just steps in and votes against all of the bills, so whats the point. The presidential election really does not matter to me. We just need to do a complete overhaul on our government as a whole I believe. Hopefully at some point everyone will come together and make America what it used to be.

I think, as well, that there are both good sides and bad sides to every candidate and they each have their different takes on issues. I turned 19 in March, so this will be my first year voting for our nation's leader. For me, it's kind of exciting in a way, but then on the other hand it's not. I think so many people make too much of a big deal and become rational when others don't agree with what they believe. I have my opinions, but that doesn't mean I'm going to push them on someone else. If someone asks me, I'll tell them, I'm not ashamed to express my beliefs, but I think with this election Ive seen a lot more people going over the top and being just ridicuous! Especially on Facebook. I've never really followed what the ads say on tv or anything because I know that the media spends thousands for a commercial that will just twist the information around to make that person look good. Overall, voting is a great privilege to be able to do, and I think that if people don't vote at all and contribute, it's like demeaning the right that the people have fought for for us to be able to have the chance to do so. Sorry for my rambling ha!
