not my usaul saturday
So i used to try to get out of working on the weekends so I could go out with my friends and have a good time. Especially during football season I hated working on the weekends. So now I am trying to get out of working the weekends just so I can get caught up on my homework. Which I don't mind just because it is better than working, but I am still missing all my football games and I am not enjoying it!The end result is what I'm in it for anyways so hopefully the next 4 years fly by so I can have my saturdays back, and if all goes as planned I will not have to work any weekends.

Ha I know what you mean completely! I can't remember the last time I had a weekend off to just hang out with friends and have a good time. I don't really watch the whole football thing lol but I do enjoy spending time with friends and having fun. I live in Sidney so there's really not a whole lot to do. In order to even go to somewhere that has stuff to do I'd have to drive 15 mins or so away. It's not horrible. I hope the next 4 years fly by too so that way I can get a better job and have some time to hang out again. In the end it'll all be worth it that's just what I keep telling myself over and over. It's not the greatest now because of the job I have (McDonald's) and all the homework related things. I hope it all works out for you with your job so you can have your weekends off! (: Good luck with all you do!
ReplyDeleteWell after reading your blog feel as if we are in different positions. I recently lost my job that I had all throughout high school. When I worked this job I usually worked all weekends, because nobody else would. Although I hated working the weekends I realized weekends are when I would make the most money! The great part about my job was I was able to go out at a reasonable time every night. Now I do not know your hours so it's hard to understand your situation completely. When you mentioned missing football games I also understand this. Throughout my senior year of high school I always looked forward to going to tournament games and even regular season games. Unfortunately for me I did not make it to any tournament games or many regular season games. Looking back on this I wish I was able to spend more times with my classmates on the weekends, but I had to make a trade off. My trade of being getting my car paid off, being able to have money saved up for college, and lastly having money for other expenses. Basically what I am trying to say is growing up can be a pain sometimes, but to get far in life we have to give things up. I feel for you not being able to enjoy your weekends, but I will also give you a lot of credit for taking the responsibility to work and provide for yourself. Maybe I will be in your shoes once I find a job soon!
