Digital circuits
So I am sitting in my digital class writing this blog because there is nothing else to do. My lab partner and I have already completed our 3rd lab and just waiting for others to finish. This particular lab was my favorite so far. We got to build a circuit that decodes the binary code and displays the decimal for that code on a seven segment display. For those who don't know what that is, it is a display like a calculator would show there are seven segments and it can be used to count from 0 to 9. It was cool once we got it to work and was able to observe how circuits decode binary. Which for me is pretty awesome, never knew how things actually worked when it came to computers and cell phones but I am definitely getting a better understanding on it all now and by the end of the semester I hope to know a whole lot more. I was overwhelmed at the beginning of the semester but things have slowed down and I am finally getting a grip on all this stuff, so it turns out I am beginning to like this class for now.

I understand where you are coming from when you have a boring class. I have a math class where everything is a review, and it is so boring. When I think about the class I understand it is a good review, but I feel as if there are so many other things I could be doing. After being in the class awhile I do feel like my math skills are getting better, since I am terrible at math. I can also relate how in the beginning of the semester it was overwhelming. I remember coming home at night wondering how I will be able to handle this school schedule and all of the school work. I now learned that it is not so bad when you prioritize and study for the class. I don’t know if this is your method for helping you to succeed in class, but glad something is working for you.
ReplyDeleteI am happy that you are taking an interest to the class, which is good because it doesn’t make the class so bad after all. To top it off you are learning from it so there is a benefit from being in the class. Your digital class sounds like it could be tricky if you don’t have an interest in this type of thing, so maybe that is why the class comes so easy. Overall I wish you the best with this class even if it seems boring at times. I also hope you continue to learn new things!
Glade to hear that things are getting better for you and that you’re not so overwhelmed anymore. That’s why it’s so important not to give up on anything in life. It amazes me how you can turn an I can’t into I did with a little hard work. I still feel like I’m behind a bit, but I know I will get it because each day that I study from our digital book I get a grasp on something I didn’t understand before. The lab work is going ok but I’m still having a hard time understanding some of the words and symbols that they use .Then trying to put some of that math that we learn and applying it to the lab work. I wish he would not have skipped chapter three I feel like there was stuff in that chapter that would of helped d me out. I want to go back and read it but I got behind on chapter four because some of it has taking me awhile to understand. I almost have it done but I still need to work on simplifying with those twelve rules. I’m hoping to get it turned in before we go on to chapter five. The lab sucked for me this week neither one of my partners was in class so I had to do it alone. I went back and worked with this guy that sits in the back of the class. We did ok but I would have loved to have got it done for my partners. Well that’s all for now have a good day.
