Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a happy holiday weekend. I am truly blessed in my life. I am thankful for everyone in my life. I had a very nice Thanksgiving it was just the my parents and my brother and his wife and my niece. I started off my day by trying something that I had never done before, I volunteered at the civic center. It was really nice to be able to experience that, then it was home for a big dinner. It was amazing my mom always fixes so much food, it is like she is feeding an army lol, there is only six of us but the good thing about it is all of the left overs that I get to take home with me. I had a really good time with my niece also it was really fun to be able to see her and spend some time with her. It has been along time since I have been able to do that I was working a lot of overtime during the summer and then I started college and I really didn't have any time after that. I enjoyed it so much and I was able to fix her bike which was fun. We all sat down that evening and watched Terry Fader if anyone knows who that is, and we watched "pumpkin chunkin" on T.V. After that it was home time for me I volunteered to come into work on Friday which is today, I just really could not pass up the money lol it was so boring though there was only like 11 people in the plant it was so boring but I really can't complain the money was very good and the day was easy. I just can't wait for the game Ohio State vs Michigan! Any ways I hope you all had a wonder holiday weekend!

I must say I had a good Thanksgiving as well. Although my family did not really have a get together on Thanksgiving it was still good. I enjoyed having some free time to spend with the family. I feel like we are such busy people so it was nice that everyone was home. The funny thing about Thanksgiving was my family and I went out for pizza. We figured we had turkey so much already that we rather just change it up. I was not mad about the situation. I just thought it was really funny we were the only ones in the pizza place. The service was great though, nothing like being the only ones being waited on! Although this was not my typical Thanksgiving I can’t be mad, because Thanksgiving is really about being Thankful for what we have. Judging by my great family and friends I have a lot to be Thankful for. I realized life is what about what you have and not what you need. You could have stayed home from work, but you are lucky enough to have a job so you worked. That is great because so many people need jobs, and they cannot get one. Overall I believe Thanksgiving break was a success, and I cannot wait till Christmas break. I am looking forward to the longer break, as well as getting first semester over with. I am ready for a change in classes just to add a little spice to my life. This probably makes me sound lame wanting different classes, but I am ready for some change in my life!
ReplyDeleteI had a good one too. I had two Tahnksgiving those, and each was really different. I usually just have one, but this year I went to my boyfriend's too. It was weird to see his compared to mine. At mine it is my grandparents, my brothers, and parents. It use to be bigger, but my incle passed away and his kids grew up it made it hard to get together. So I am use to having a small family gathering. My grandma cooks most of the food, and she is amazing cook so it is always top notch food. This year though I made the secret family pumpkin pie. It was as good as my grandma's, and I was so proud of myself. Then we play soccer with my little brother. After that we had to leave for his. This one was so different than mine. There was so many people many whom I have never meet before. I spent a lot of time there. We ate, but I was still full from my meal so it was hard. I tried to eat so I did not look rude. After we played games so it was fun. The only downside is that it was 77 in his grandparents' house so it was so hot!! Overall, I thought it was a good experience to see how other people may celebrate there holidays. It will be even hard when I meet the other side because his one grandma had 15 kids! Have a great rest of the year! Good luck in your other classes!
ReplyDeleteI love the time of year around Thanksgiving. First of all, I love food...period. Everyone has their own preference as to what food they like and who they think makes the best food. I believe that my family makes the best food (as I am sure everyone else thinks their families make the best food). Food wise for thanksgiving we always go to my Grandma's (Moms mom) house on Thursday and when the weekend comes we always go to my other Grandma's (dads mom) house. On thursday, the whole family gets together and have a gigantic meal. Afterwards, it mainly contains a bunch of gossip and black friday spotting in magazines (mainly my aunts... no, actually that has my aunts written all over it). Being around this side of my family can get annoying real quick. Although I love my family, this side was raised to voice their opinion and after a while you end up getting everyone yelling and complaining at each other. Over the weekend after Thanksgiving we go to my other Grandma's house. This side of the family is really laid back and most of them rarely care about anything. Most of this side of my family is older as I am the youngest grandson and the oldest great-grandson is the same age as me. Along with celebrating Thanksgiving, we also celebrate Christmas and my birthday on the same day. With all of this celebrating there is a lot of food to be eaten. We celebrate like this because right after Thanksgiving my grandparents go down to Florida for the winter. This year I plan to drive down and see them over Christmas break.
